Mission: The Committee shall promote communication, interaction and cooperation among the Association, other professional associations and organizations, and the public.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Submit to the Secretary a list containing the names, addresses, telephone, fax and E-mail addresses of all Committee members.
2. Assist in soliciting and editing content in articles for a quarterly newsletter.
3. Create and distribute information about the Association and its business, including all publicity materials and press releases.
4. Schedule and Exhibit WLIA booth.
5. Oversee the contracting for and maintenance of the WLIA official web page
6. Annually review, revise and update, a three to five year plan on specific goals for achievement as needed.
7. Assist the President-Elect in the development and execution of the Annual Conference.
8. The Communications Chair or designee shall serve as liaison to the Membership Committee.
9. Prepare a report (Annual Report) on achievements and activities, together with recommendations for the upcoming year, for presentation at the Annual Conference.
10. Perform such other duties as the Board of Directors may assign.
Membership: Membership shall consist of a Chairperson, Co-Chair, the newsletter editor-in-chief, and other members of the Association as appointed by the Chairperson. The President shall appoint a chairperson who shall be a member of the Board. The term of appointment shall be for one year.
