Mission: The Committee shall monitor proposed legislation affecting the land information
Program, assess the impact the legislation has on the Land Information Program, and with the approval of the Board of Directors encourage WLIA membership to discuss the potential impact with
their local legislators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identify, monitor and make recommendations regarding proposed land information legislation to the WLIA Board.
2. Work closely with contracted lobbyist to keep them abreast of WLIA's history, goals and
objectives.
3. Pursue state legislator champion(s) for land information within both legislative houses.
4. Encourage WLIA membership to serve on committee from varied geographical and professional backgrounds.
5. Submit list of committee members, reports and articles for newsletter to the WLIA executive services manager.
6. Maintain email distribution list of all committee members to review, discuss and comment on
legislative issues.
7. Establish and foster relationship with the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration employees in land information programs.
8. Perform such other duties as the Board of Directors may assign.
Membership: Membership shall consist of Chairperson, volunteer members of the Board and other members of the Association. The terms of appointment shall be for one year.
