Our conference theme is: Growing WI GIS from our Roots: Seeing the Forest for the Trees. Many big things are happening in the Wisconsin in regards to GIS and much of this was made possible by the grassroots effort we have taken. Metaphorically speaking, GIS in the state (the forest) is healthy and growing because of the strong grassroots efforts of local government (the trees). At the conference we will be celebrating the many successes of the trees with a municipal track, and the many data sharing and collaborative efforts that are taking place with all levels of government and contributing to a unique, diverse, and vibrant forest. We hope you'll join us !
