WLIA needs donations for the conference silent auction!

Ken Pabich, the longstanding Chair of our WLIA Silent Auction Committee is getting nervous!  Nervous because donations for our annual student scholarship fundraiser are well behind pace for this time of year.  We can’t have Ken stressed, so please consider helping out.  Ken asked us to distribute the following plea for help:

We are a little over three weeks out from the conference and for the Foundation Silent Auction we only have one item submitted!  The silent auction is the primary source of our scholarship fund.  There are tons of different ideas that can be used, but it seems that a unique item from your local community is always a hit.  There are three ways you can help our the Foundation:

  1. You could ask for a donation from a local business.  We have a letter on our cause and 501c3 status posted on the Web site for your use when talking to the business.
  2. You could purchase an item for the silent auction, and donate it to the Foundation.
  3. If you are too busy for #1 or #2, you could go to the WLIA Web site and make a cash donation using PayPal — any amount makes a huge difference!!!

The Foundation and scholarship program is a critical part of the WLIA mission.  It is an important way to show our continued support of young professionals.  What is even better is that 100% of the funds are used within the scholarship program.

I would appreciate if you could take some time to help in some way.  If you are going to donate and item please send me the donation form so I can make sure we are ready for the conference.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!!!  See you at the conference.

On behalf of the Foundation Committee,

Ken Pabich
Committee Chair
