Select WLIA presentations available via live broadcast on October 9th and 10th

Can’t make it to Green Lake later this week?  As a technology experiment we are offering live streaming online for three presentations at the Fall Regional meeting.  (We thought it was best to start small and see how it goes.) Fire up your favorite Web browser at the following times for the free Webcast:

Thursday, October 9th, 3:00 – 4:15 p.m.
Dr. Eric Compas, UW-Whitewater: “Eyes in the Sky: The Promise and Challenges of Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for Applied Research”
Dr. Joe Hupy, UW-Eau Claire: “UAS for Research: Doing it right, doing it safely”

Friday, October 10th, 8:30 – 9:15 a.m.
Paul Wickman, Flat Rock Geographics: “Real World Examples of Commercial Grade Open Source”

This is our first attempt at live streaming, so we hope you can pardon any technical glitches we encounter!  If you do tune in, please give us your feedback. We’d like your thoughts on whether we should expand this service in the future.
