Consider a tax-deductible donation to the WLIA Foundation

Like you, this time of year I receive a ton of solicitations seeking end-of-the-year donations.  In most cases, I appreciate the friendly reminder that the tax year is coming to a close, and I better get my charitable donations made ASAP.

Speaking of that… did you know you can also make a tax-deductible donation to the WLIA Foundation?  While the Foundation is largely funded by a silent auction held each year at our Annual Conference, we gladly accept cash donations throughout the year.  Proceeds raised go directly towards the Foundation’s Damon Anderson Memorial Scholarship fund, which helps students working toward a degree related to land information (such as geographic information systems, geography, and urban planning.)

So yes, truth be told, this blog post is all about squeezing you for a donation!   Will you consider it?  As we like to say, “it’s for the kids!”

Visit the WLIA Foundation page for more details of how you can donate online or by mail.
