According to jsonline.com, the county property assessment proposal has been dropped by the Joint Finance Committee.
Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) and Rep. John Nygren (R-Marinette), the co-chairs of the Joint Finance Committee, said they dropped the assessment provisions because any problems should be ironed out in stand-alone legislation.
The WLIA Legislative Committee will continue to monitor this issue.
