As many of you know the newly formed Wisconsin Land Information Council (WLIC) is hard at work already! The WLIC is working on review of comments of the recently released 1st Draft Wisconsin Land Information Program (WLIP) Plan. WLIA Board of Directors at the annual retreat in early March did discuss this and from that discussion provided comments back to the Council. The WLIA comments are included in the combined comments available on the DOA website HERE. Please read the WLIA comments as well as the rest of the comments provided.
The DOA website is the best place to follow the progression of this Plan. You can get to the WLIC page HERE. This page will give you the Agendas and Minutes of these meetings as well as the draft plan itself. The WLIC recently met on March 24th to discuss these comments. The council should be reviewing and discussing a 2nd Draft of this plan at the April 12th meeting with that draft going out for public comment on April 27th according to the 1st draft Plan timeline.
This is a very important time for the Land Information community and with all of the work that is being put into creating this plan. I would hope you all stay engaged in this process as it is an aggressive timeline.
The WLIA Board of Directors will continue to follow this and provide comments as requested. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns you may have firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-715-836-4709
