Volunteers Needed at the WLIA Annual Conference

Did you know that you can sign up to volunteer at the Annual Conference? A variety of volunteers are needed to help make the conference a success! We are looking for moderators, student volunteers, and map & poster contest judges. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please sign up!

Moderator duties include introducing the speakers, keeping sessions on time, assisting with the change of audio/visual equipment, and distributing handouts to the audience.

Student Volunteer duties include helping with poster registration and take down, working at the silent auction, assisting with audio/visual equipment, and working as room monitors to help adjust lighting and distribute handouts to the audience.

Map & Poster Contest Judge duties include judging submitted maps and posters based on certain criteria. Along with an assigned partner, you will judge one or two categories and select 1st and 2nd place winners. You will need to be available from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 23rd at the conference. Winners are announced at lunch on Friday. Remember – you can still be a judge if you have an entry, just not for that category! • Do you have an entry in the competition? If so, which category?
• Employer and job title.
• A phone number to contact you while at the conference.
