Preserving land and wildlife habitat while educating all generations about the importance of nature and healthy, diverse ecosystems – this is what the Kettle Moraine Land Trust (KMLT) has been accomplishing. Bill Huxhold, Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will be presenting at the WLIA Spring Regional meeting to discuss how this land trust works with landowners in Walworth County to preserve natural lands. This project helped the KMLT by identifying potentially significant conservation sites. Determining the best sites for conservation incorporated the needs and wishes of community residents. More protected natural areas and parks provide citizens with a better choice of outdoor recreation opportunities and enhanced quality of life. Natural areas provide life‐long learning experiences and shape healthy communities. Come learn about the great work they have accomplished!
