VISION 2050 is the advisory land use and transportation plan for the seven-County Southeastern Wisconsin Region. This presentation by Ben McKay, Chief Community Assistance Planner for the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, will cover the land information issues used to develop VISION 2050, an overview of the recommended land use plan, and plan implementation.
Key regional inventories, including inventories of land use, natural resources, and park and open space sites, were some of the primary data sources used to develop the recommended land use plan. This presentation will discuss how this land information was gathered and used in conjunction with parcel boundary data, comprehensive plans, sewer service area boundaries, and population and employment projection data.
