Staff from the State Cartographer’s Office will give an update on their efforts to develope a new statewide Public Land Survey System (PLSS) database at the upcoming WLIA regional in Sturgeon Bay, October 11th and 12th. The Statewide Parcel Map Initiative is now collecting local PLSS data to facilitate the creation of a statewide PLSS layer. Their talk will discuss the need for PLSS, development of the data schema and associated benchmark, work to date on data integration, and plans for the future.
