Site specific and watershed-based factors can impact erosion leading to sediment loading and other water and aquatic habitat issues. Adam Grassl of the Vilas County Mapping and Land Information Department teamed up with Zach Nienow and Ayres Associates to apply high resolution elevation data to this problem. Come check out their presentation in the LiDAR track the afternoon of Thursday 2/21 to hear how primary and secondary products of the point cloud and aerial imagery were used to create a culvert inventory and model erosion susceptibility.
