Property Description Interpretation Workshop at Spring Meeting in Eau Claire

Join us at the 2019 Spring Regional Meeting in Eau Claire, where Jerry Mahun will lead a workshop about property description interpretation.

In this workshop, there will be a discussion on primary legal principles surveyors use to help determine original intent and resolve conflicting written and physical evidence. Almost anyone can write a property description, but it’s up to a surveyor to interpret and locate it on the ground. Most problems occur because a description writer does not understand the legal principles which guide a surveyor’s description interpretation and conflicting evidence resolution. Wording which may appear clear to the writer can cause a variety of problems later. As part of this exercise, descriptions from recently recorded deeds will be examined to determine if their intent is clear or ambiguous.

Don’t miss this great workshop opportunity. We hope to see you at the 2019 Spring Regional Meeting in Eau Claire, WI on May 30th and 31st at The Lismore!
