Register for the 33rd Annual Conference.

I would like to welcome all to register for the Wisconsin Land Information Association’s (WLIA) 33rd Annual Conference in beautiful Middleton WI. The theme of this conference is “Building a Foundation for the Future”.

This conference is proving to be one of our biggest annuals, it will feature over 50 presentations, 15 workshops, several special interest groups (SIGs), a Map Contest, a Silent Auction (to support our scholarship fund), Esri’s Hands on Learning Lab, and a large vendor area. The Wednesday opening event will include a talk from our featured speaker and longtime friend of WLIA, Nancy von Meyer and our “Casino Night” social event!

In addition, we are extremely honored to have 3 keynote speakers for this event:

  • Roger Kain is a Fellow of the British Academy, the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences and its Vice-President (Research and Higher Education Policy).  He is Professor of Humanities in the School of Advanced Study, University of London
  • James Whitehorne is the Chief of the Census Redistricting & Voting Rights Data Office where he manages the Redistricting Data Program and the Section 203 language determinations required by the Voting Rights Act.
  • Jack Dangermond, the Founder and President of Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri)

I sincerely hope you will join us in Middleton, WI this February 19th-21st. We are truly trying to make this an event that you can not miss!

Tony J. Van Der Wielen – WLIA President-Elect
