Track Highlight: NG9-1-1 and Emerging Technology

Technology and data standards are moving ever forward. Attend the NG9-1-1 and Emerging Technology Track on Thursday, February 20 at 10:30 am to learn about two ways in which we are keeping up with them.

Sarah Rollins and Brian MacMurdo from DATAMARK|Micheal Baker International will take us Beyond the 98% TM: Solving the GIS Puzzle in NG9-1-1. GIS has been identified as a mission critical component of NG9-1-1 as it moves past it’s roll of post-call processes to pre-call delivery call routing. Are your PSAP and GIS ready for NG9-1-1? The deadline is approaching much more quickly than we think it is. This session will introduce standard, best practices and introductory workflows required to ensure NG9-1-1 data readiness to get your data Beyond the 98% TM required by NENA.

Have you heard of the ArcGIS field collection app, QuickCapture? What can you do with it? Chris Dickerson will discuss how Waukesha County is utilizing the app to track improper recycling in QuickCapture for Cleaner Recycling. See the process from data collection to processing the data to producing a mailer to send to the public. Then see how they use the data to develop an Operational Dashboard to monitor the data.
