Calling All Students, WLIA Wants You!

WLIA WANTS YOU!

Are you a student who likes free stuff? Do you know one? WLIA is looking for student volunteers to make the upcoming Annual Conference hum, and with the stellar lineup we have, this is the year to jump in!

Students working a half day at the conference will receive free registration and lunch for that day. Jobs include Map Contest registration and take down, managing Silent Auction items, assisting with A/V equipment, and monitoring lighting and handout distribution during sessions. Working as a student volunteer will give you exposure to professionals within the GIS, Urban Planning, and Land Records fields. There will also be a job board at the conference, so bring your resume.

Ready to take the next step? Take a look at the Preliminary Agenda to see what you might be interested in and fill out the Student Volunteer Sign-up by Tuesday, February 18th, 2020. All duties will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Students are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meals. However, as noted, lunch will be provided for the day you volunteer, and both breakfasts and the Thursday night reception is open to all. There will be details about each day’s morning volunteer meeting in the confirmation e-mail to be sent the week of the conference.
