WLIA Foundation Thanks Donors, Exhibitors, and Bidders

The numbers are in for all of the WLIA Foundation Damon Anderson Scholarship fundraisers that took place at the Annual Conference.

A few specifics:

  • There were 94 total donations from over 70 donors.
  • Over a dozen of those were personal donations from WLIA members and supporters.
  • Donations came in from six different states.
  • The WLIA Foundation silent auction raised $5,302. This is over $1,000.00 higher than last year ($4,066.00)
  • The 50/50 Raffle + The Opening + the Ayres Social fundraiser total was $2,167.00
  • The combined total from the silent auction and all conference fundraisers was $7,469.00!

These are unprecedented numbers for an annual conference and are credit to the generosity of the donors, exhibitors, and bidders. Thanks as well to all the student and WLIA volunteers who helped set up the auction, sell raffle tickets, deal cards and everything else that made this effort so successful. As was mentioned at the podium, these scholarships help support the next generation of GIS and Land Information professionals, so it is important work!

Looking forward to next year’s annual conference because…

“It’s for the Kids!”

An impressive lineup of auction items!
