Fall Virtual Spotlight: State and Federal Agency Day

Keeping up to date on State and Federal concerns is key to being fully informed from a Land Records perspective. Monday, October 12th kicks off the Fall Virtual Meeting with State and Federal Agency Day. You will hear from speakers and presenters who are in the know.

Before the FVM officially begins, sign in to Zoom to join Ryan Squires and Joseph Kreye of the Legislative Technology Services Bureau for “Redistricting in Wisconsin”. Then after opening remarks, Colter Sikora and Milena Bernardinellom with the Public Service Commission discuss “Using Geospatial Data to Drive Broadband Expansion.” Felipe Avila from the Wisconsin Historical Society follows with a presentation on “Digital Compliance Screening Tools”. Wisconsin Department of Transportation representatives Christine Koeller, Adam Feidt and Tony Van Der Wielen showcase their “ArcGIS Implementation at WisDOT”.

During the break, we will announce our “Doodle While You Listen” winners before gearing up for Federal Agency Updates. Learn about “NRCS GIS Activities in Wisconsin” with Kent Pena, hear an update on the “USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP)” with David Nail, and find out more about the “Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Data Acquisition” with Mark Farina & Greg Smoczyk. The day ends with the State Agency Geospatial Information Committee (SAGIC) business meeting and round robin updates.
