Tuesday, May 25
At 1 p.m., bring your lunch with your broadband mapping and expansion questions to ‘What Does Broadband Mean to me as a Wisconsin Geospatial Professional?‘ This panel includes mappers from the Wisconsin Broadband Office, an internet service provider, local government, and the engineering field to address how WLIA members can affect and be affected by the need for improved broadband access and use. There will be presentations and Q&A on broadband expansion funding, the need for more accurate mapping, and how broadband can complement other geospatial topics, such as Next Generation 911.
Stick around for the 3 p.m. presentation on ‘Tribal University Partnerships in Mapping, respecting Indigenous Place Names’!
Thursday, May 27
ESRI will offer a more technical presentation at 1 p.m. with ‘ArcGIS Hub: Working with Templates & Premium.’ Jordan Miller and Morgan Sapia from ESRI will describe how to implement Hub templates and solutions. They will also show how Hub Premium can be used to up your community engagement capabilities. Lastly, they will look at ArcGIS Solutions and explain how you can incorporate them to work with these tools and your data!
Also remember to consider contributing to the Spring WLIA Scholarship Fundraising Challenge! With your donation, you may have the option to partake in a fun activity with a current or past WLIA Board Member or force some of those Board Members to do some funky stuff! Check out the incentives below, and remember…it’s for the kids!
