The WLIA Technical Committee invites all WLIA members to listen in and participate in their inaugural Committee Meeting for 2021! Mark your calendars for 2-3 p.m. on Monday, July 12th. You can access the Zoom meeting here.
The Committee will be meeting to discuss statewide updates affecting critical mapping data, especially pertaining to Next Generation 911 and Broadband. We will also have guest speakers from the WLIA’s Legislative Committee and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to discuss issues affecting their work and to foster potential collaboration with the Technical Committee. A full agenda is available for further reference.
The Technical Committee serves to study land information issues and introduce new ideas to improve the work of geospatial professionals across Wisconsin and their colleagues. Among their initiatives, the Committee produces a report on the condition of Wisconsin’s Foundational Layers annually. If you are interested in helping drive the improvement and availability of geospatial data in Wisconsin, contact Colter Sikora and Fred Iausly to participate on the Committee!
