Deploying cost saving solutions sounds like a great idea, right? Well, you have come to the right place to learn about the next integration with GIS. How about Closed Caption TV (CCTV) of sewer inspections.
Thursday, November 4th, 2021, at the Fall Regional Event in Madison you can hear about how the City of Sheboygan is using ITpipes software along with their ESRI Enterprise GIS to integrate the data, information, and media for increased efficiency.
Andy Bartell, the GIS/Project Specialist, at the City of Sheboygan along with Mark Grabowski from ITpipes, will take us down the pipe so speak. They will explain how this project created a single location for staff to find all the lines associated with an inspection. Ultimately allowing for staff to use the information without being required to have advanced GIS experience. Improving efficiencies in the office along with helping internal end users find resources without feeling overwhelmed.
They will explain how they synced up the data, information, and media that’s captured in the truck with the on-prem SQL database at the end of each day. Then the SQL database for the ITpipes data is joined to the City’s Enterprise SQL Geodatabase and then published as a service to Portal. Using SQL database collaboration between Esri GIS and ITpipes pipe inspection software, the City of Sheboygan has created an interactive web resource that allows GIS users of all skill and experience levels to view and interact with pipe inspection videos from a single web-based GIS resource.
