A Closer Look…

2022 Annual Conference - Strengthening Connections

As we near the Annual Conference, we like to take a closer look at some of the workshops and presentations to give you a sampler platter of what you can expect to find in Elkhart Lake, February 23-25.

Our Wednesday Workshops are often technical, but learning about policy and legal issues is an important job of a land information professional too. Steve Sorenson from von Briesen & Roper, SC joins us for a morning workshop to explain the difference between three different tools to describe real property, their legal status, and even some historical background. Time will be given to get your questions answered as well. If you or someone on your staff is newer to parcel mapping or you’d like a deeper understanding of why we do the things we do when it comes to real property listing, this is a great opportunity!

Another presentation that may be of interest to our newer members is in the Professional Development Track on Friday at 10 AM. Mike Seidel of Ayres Associates discusses why you might want to consider getting your GISP and how to go about it. And right after that, WLIA is excited to give our members a sneak peek at our new Novi membership management solution and website that is coming soon. Learn how our new system will make it easier to manage your membership and find important WLIA information at your fingertips!
