Cheryl Berken

Cheryl was elected to Brown County Register of Deeds in November 2016 and took office in January 2017. Prior to being elected, Cheryl worked for a title insurance company where she covered 11 County Register of Deeds offices, searching real estate records. She also conducted real estate closings and other real estate related tasks. Cheryl worked with real estate records for over three decades while working closely with real estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, attorneys, surveyors, and Register of Deeds offices.
Cheryl is a member of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association and is chair of the Association’s Legislative Committee. Cheryl is also Chair of the Brown County Land Information Council and a member of the Northeast Chapter of WSLS.
Cheryl moved to Wisconsin from Bennington, Vermont in 1991.
Cheryl graduated with an associate degree from Southern Vermont College in 1987 and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay in 2013.
