Professional Bio
Chris Dickerson is a dedicated GIS professional with a passion for geospatial technology. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management of Information and Master's in Urban Planning with a GIS Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While in school, Chris was actively involved in the GIS Club, serving as an officer and teaching Python workshops. He gained valuable experience as a GIS Specialist at Harley-Davidson, where he established their first enterprise system infrastructure and developed Python scripts for data analysis. Chris' expertise expanded further as a Transportation Planner at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, where he managed policy and procedural standards. He holds GIS Professional and Lean Continuous Improvement certifications. Currently, as an LIS Analyst at Waukesha County, Chris administers an Esri Enterprise system on AWS cloud infrastructure and has been actively involved in UAS technologies and WLIA. Serving on the Annual Conference Committee and presenting technical sessions. He is committed to sharing his expertise and furthering WLIA's mission to support the geospatial community.
