A Success Story: Strengthening Career Connections Drop-in Workshop
The 1st Annual Strengthening Career Connections: A Drop-in Workshop was a success. The workshop was put on by the Membership and Outreach Subcommittee, University and College Outreach. It took place in The Osthoff’s Grand Libelle Parlor at the 2022 WLIA Annual Conference. The drop-in workshop aimed to provide career advice, resume reviews, mock interviews, and a space for organizations to hold interviews for open positions.
The workshop was able to provide a space for advertisement of 10 open positions, provided 14 candidates with career advice, conducted 7 resume reviews, and hosted 8 interviews for available internships and positions.
Thank you to those that offered up their time and efforts to put on this workshop. Without those committed volunteers this workshop would not have been a success. The committee looks forward to growing this workshop in the future, and living up to the theme of the 2022 Annual Conference – Strengthening Connections.
