Calling WLIA's Travelers for a Monumental Conference Track!
After its successful debut at the 2026 annual conference, we’ve been asked to host another traveling track at the 2027 WLIA Annual Conference!
We need your help to make a Tripping with Cartographers, v2.0 track!
We want you to share your adventures, near and far from home, at the WLIA conference. This is an opportunity to appreciate the sense of adventure and storytelling that often runs alongside our work with mapping and land information data! Extra points if your adventure includes interesting geography facts or mapping tips for your fellow travelers. We’ll consider presentations in any of the following formats:
- Lightning talks (5-15 minutes)
- Short presentations (30 minutes)
- Long presentations (60 minutes)
Whether your adventures took you to Athens in Greece, the German Athens (that’s Milwaukee), or Athens, Wisconsin, we want to hear about it!

Like all Annual conference presentations, we will accept ideas and submissions until Monday, September 21. Get those submissions in!
