The Damon Anderson Memorial Scholarship is now open to all Land Information, Cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)-inclined post-secondary students. This year, we are offering three $2,000 scholarships for students to use in support of their 2026-2027 academic year. WLIA also offers a year-long membership, free registration to our annual conference, and a mentorship program to our scholarship winners.
Applications shall include the following:
- A properly completed application form
- Two (2) reference letters from two (2) persons, at least one of whom is an advisor/instructor who is unrelated to the applicant. Letters should address the applicant’s academic ability, professional potential, applicable work experience, community service, extracurricular activities, financial need, or any other relevant information that supports the candidate’s application, and are to be submitted to LOR@wlia.org,
All documentation for the 2026-2027 academic year must be received by Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM to be considered.
