Silent Auction Raises $3800.00!

Posted By: James Landwehr Annual Conference,

The totals are in for the 2021 WLIA Annual Conference Silent Auction. This year’s total came in at $3800, which will go toward funding multiple WLIA Foundation student scholarships. Our goal was set at $3000 given the nature of the pandemic and, to our surprise, we exceeded it by $800 thanks to aggressive, competitive bidding by you, our members. So, thank you!

There were several positive comments that came out regarding the Charity Auctions Today online platform. It made it easy for donors to upload their donated items online, including pictures, total value and contact information. The site sent automated text messages notifying bidders they were outbid, so there was no need to check back at the auction table as happens at live events. It was so successful there is talk of using it in next year in some capacity, even if it is a live, on-site event.

The WLIA Foundation would like to send a HUGE shout-out to all the generous donors. There were some fantastic donations this year and you made it all possible!

Finally, please note that most items have been shipped, so winning bidders should be seeing items in the mail soon, if you haven’t already received them. If you have any issues with a delivery, please contact Ann Barrett or Jim Landwehr

It’s for the kids!
