The 2026 WLIA Annual Conference is Approaching and...
...the Map Gallery is GROWING
The time has come to unleash that inner artist, let those creative juices flow and regale the masses with your stunning displays of cartographic grandeur. We want, no NEED, to see your spectacular Story Maps, your most unencumbered Unique Maps, and any other profound pieces you may have.
It’s already the end of January and with the Annual Conference just over a month away it’s time to put those beautiful blooms on display. Your hard work and expertise deserve to bear fruit, but you need to get those seeds in the soil!
And not only is the Map Gallery ever-expanding, but the prizes for our Youth Map Contest have also increased to levels never seen before. The young Cartographer in your life could take home the $50 top prize in their age group simply by doing the thing they’ve grown to love - making maps! That’s DOUBLE the prize money in years past!!!
So, don’t delay, enter those maps today!
And speaking of growing, do you want to boost your participation in WLIA? One of the easiest (and most fun) ways to do that is to volunteer a little bit of your time as a Map Contest judge!
If you’re new to WLIA, judging maps is a great way to meet experienced members and serve the organization. You will be paired with a veteran judge who will help guide you through all the twists and turns. It truly is the easiest way to break out of your comfort zone, gain experience, and expand your network.
