A Focus on Special Interest Groups

There will be a number of special interest groups (SIGs) returning to meet during the 2023 WLIA Annual Conference.  One exciting new SIG is Small Business.  Another SIG has a name that still may be new to a few of you - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is a SIG that will be of interest to those who were involved in Equity Advocates.

If any of the SIGs interest you please stop in.  You don't have to be a special member of any club to stop by and discuss or listen in on the latest topics with like-interested individuals.  This is a great way to begin networking with people prior to the exhibitor reception. 

The following is a full list of SIGs that are scheduled to meet during the 2023 Annual Conference:

• The Wisconsin LiDAR Data Users Group (LiDAR) 
• The Municipal & Utilities GIS User Group (MUGG)
• The Next Generation 911 WLIA Task Force/Special interest Group (NextGen911)
• GIS Developers Special Interest Group
• Un-manned Aerial Systems SIG (UAS)
• Small Business Special Interest Group
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

Many of the SIG meetings will take place at 4:00 PM on Thursday during the conferece, with the exception of DEI which will convene from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Thursday in the Marula Room.
