Happy Fall Ya’ll,

It’s almost time for trick or treating or daylight savings, can you believe it?!?  So much has happened since the last time I sent out a message.  We finished up our summer events with 2 great Virtual Workshops.  Most recently, we had an excellent Fall Event at the Park Hotel in Madison!  We had Smart Mapping, Strong Networks, and Bold Moves all while creating lasting connections in our great state capital.  Some of us went on legislative visits, some went on a tour of the capitol, and others a tour of the Robinson Map Library.  So many great opportunities to choose your own adventure.  We also had the first ever Damon Anderson Zero-K Fundraiser.

The next WLIA event is the Annual Conference February 2026 in Wisconsin Dells.  The call for content and workshops has gone out and we are still looking for your story.  Please consider sharing your work, ideas, and lessons learned with the organization.  If you are not ready to be the speaker, maybe just share an idea that you feel should be talked about at the conference.  We can look for a speaker about that topic.

Also, there are a lot of legislative things happening; things to watch for, ask questions about, and maybe even get involved with the WLIA Legislative Committee.  If legislative topics are not your jam, we have other committees to join.  Take a look at the Committee page.

That being said, we are also looking for membership feedback.  We have the Membership & Engagement Survey set up so that we can learn about your perspective.  Share your point of view.  The survey will remain open until the end of October.

Thanks for the great Fall Ya’ll!

Kimberly Christman
