This year we have 2 workshops on Thursday morning to choose from at the Spring Regional Meeting in Eau Claire, WI. Each workshop will be 3 hours long and the cost is included in your meeting registration. The bad news is you will have to choose one because they are happening simultaneously. I know it’s a bummer to have to choose just one, because they both sound amazing:
Option #1: Title Insurance 101: Everything you ever wanted to know about Title Insurance with Lisa Petersen from Chicago Title
Are you a new Real Property Lister? Are you a parcel mapper who would like to know more about what happens before that document gets to you? Come to this workshop to jump into the title world with Lisa Petersen guiding the way. This is a great time to learn more about the flip side of the real estate transaction from a knowledgeable and entertaining expert.
This workshop will include the following:
- What a title policy actually covers.
- The types of claims that are paid.
- What information a title agent uses from our offices.
- The impact of Wisconsin’s new easement law.
- How title companies use surveys in their work.
Option #2: Getting Started with ArcGIS Arcade with Gustavo Castro from Esri
ArcGIS Arcade is a way to write expressions that can be used interchangeably throughout ArcGIS in different applications and devices. This workshop will provide a high-level overview of how you can get started using Arcade for advanced formatting, authoring pop-ups, enhancing map symbology and labels, performing calculations, and setting up conditional visibility in your maps and apps.
Learn how to manipulate the information in your map and create new attributes on the fly. These new attributes can be used to create custom labels, dynamic symbolizations, and user-friendly pop-up windows.
